3. Working Principle
Core Component: NTC negative temperature coefficient thermistor
Principle: Resistance decreases as temperature rises; resistance increases as temperature drops
Power Supply: 5V reference voltage supplied by ECU
Signal Output: Resistance change is converted into voltage signal for ECU to calculate intake air temperature

5. Main Functions
Intake Air Temperature Monitoring: Real-time detection of air temperature entering the engine.

- High temperature (low air density): Reduce fuel injection volume to cut fuel consumption and optimize exhaust emission.
Ignition / Injection Timing Adjustment: Fine-tune timing according to temperature to prevent engine knocking and improve working efficiency.
Turbocharger Protection: Avoid turbo damage caused by overheated intake air.
6. Fault Consequences
Malfunction Symptoms: Difficult cold start, unstable idling, insufficient power, high fuel consumption and excessive exhaust emission.
ECU Trouble Codes: Fault codes such as P0110, P0111 will be recorded.
Long-term Impact: Accelerated engine wear and shortened service life of turbocharger.
