2. Material & Structure

• Cap Body: Made of high-strength heat-resistant engineering plastic with galvanized steel inserts. It is anti-aging and resistant to corrosion by ethylene glycol coolant. It will not crack or deform under long-term high temperature (≤110℃) and features solid and durable construction.
• Sealing Gasket: Made of fluoroelastomer (FKM), operating within -40℃ ~ 130℃. It maintains lasting elasticity and tight sealing to effectively prevent coolant leakage and evaporation.
• Core Dual-Valve Assembly:
  • Pressure Relief Valve: Equipped with high-strength internal spring to accurately control opening pressure and release excess pressure automatically.
  • Vacuum Compensation Valve: Adopts one-way valve structure to intake air automatically and balance system pressure when negative pressure occurs with the engine off.
• Dustproof Outer Cap: Designed with anti-slip patterns to block dust and sediment, keep internal valves clean and allow easy manual installation, removal and maintenance.

• Pressure Regulation & Anti-Boiling: Stabilize the system pressure at 0.2MPa during operation and raise the boiling point of coolant to 108℃. It avoids high-temperature cavitation and boiling, and keeps the engine running with steady power.
• Vacuum Compensation & Anti-Collapse: Balance negative pressure automatically when the engine cools down to prevent tank collapse and pipeline deformation, protecting Expansion Tank 8232365.

5. Common Faults & Impacts

• Stuck Open Pressure Valve: Insufficient system pressure leads to easy coolant boiling, resulting in high water temperature, reduced power and increased fuel consumption.
• Stuck Closed Pressure Valve: Excessively high system pressure may cause potential hazards such as tank bulging, pipe burst and joint leakage.
• Failed Vacuum Valve: Negative pressure cannot be released after engine shutdown, causing tank collapse, deformation, cracking and abnormal coolant backflow.
• Aged Sealing Gasket: Coolant leakage and dropping liquid level will trigger frequent alarms. In severe cases, it will lead to engine overheating and cylinder scuffing.
